Review
I can solve quadratic equations with one variable using the method requested.
Students will select 12 problems to solve using factoring, finding square roots, completing the square, or the quadratic formula.
Khan Academy Practice
I can evaluate an expression with one variable through self-directed practice on Khan Academy.
Students should be signed up and able to begin a general review of the Algebra concepts they have learned this school year on Khan Academy. Today, students should take 30 minutes and get as far as they can with the modules. This assignment is due today, March 27th.
Review and Correction
I can solve quadratic equations with one variable through a focus on most missed problems.
Students will complete problems that focus on skills most missed by students when solving Quadratic Equations.
Assignments posted in Schoology.
Notes and Practice
I can solve quadratic equations with one variable through the use of the Quadratic Formula.
Students will find the x-intercepts using the Quadratic formula.
Notes and Practice
I can complete the square in a quadratic expression to reveal the maximum and minimum value of the function defined by the expression through the working of problems that involve both rational and irrational solutions.
Students will continue to develop their quadratic equations solution strategies focusing on completing the square methods.
Notes and Practice
I can solve quadratic equations with one variable through the use of the Completing the Square method.
Students are continuing their work with quadratic equations using the completing the square strategy for solving quadratic equations. Some problems will end with tidy answers while others will end with radicals in the final answers.
All work is posted to Schoology.com.
